Amie’s glasses
Amie and I went for her eye test today (Thanks Julie for looking after Bethany!) and she is now the proud owner of some very pink barbie glasses!
Although it’s taking a bit of getting used to, she looks very cute in them.
Mother’s Day
Despite waking up with excrutiating back ache and neither of us getting much sleep during the night because of the wind we had a lovely Mother’s Day today.
I was treated to a VERY big box of chocolates and some white lillies (which are my favourite) and a lovely card. Amie also made me a rose at playgroup and a plate for mothers day which were lovely. She wouldn’t show me the rose because it was a surprise. Sadly she ruined my other surprise yesterday when she told me her and daddy had bought chocolates for me!
Mum and Dad came over for dinner but sadly the day wasn’t quite complete as Beryl and Richard were unable to join us because Beryl was feeling unwell - Get well soon Beryl.
I cooked chicken with garlic and lemon with baby potatoes and roasted veg…it was lovely and we have plenty of leftovers.
We had a lovely relaxing day and I was able to spend some time with Amie writing letters and numbers, she managed to write every letter in her name which was fantastic - well done Amie
I was supposed to be going Ice Skating tonight with Julie but we have given it a miss….hopefully we will get to go next week.
Thanks Amie, Bethany and James for a lovely day.
xx
No commentsHospital trip
Amie has her hospital appointment this week for her lazy eye.
It sounds like it could be a bit of an ordeal for the poor thing as she has to have some very nasty eye drops in which makes her pupils very large and her eyes will be sensitive to the light.
I’ll keep you all posted with the outcome, hopefully it wont be too traumatic for her.
No commentsIreland here we come
We’ve booked our holiday, we’re going to Ireland for a couple of weeks later in the year which we’re looking forward to.
We’re catching the ferry over so we are driving down to wales the night before and staying in a travel lodge, getting the ferry accross and then have a relatively short drive in Ireland.
We have booked a gorgeous looking cottage which is set on a working farm (so we need to remember the wellies) which the girls will love.
The cottage looks huge though so I have a feeling we wont be wanting to come home!
Wait for the photos…
No commentsTake That!
Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to announce but I’m going to see Take That in concert again!
16th November Ange and I will be travelling down to the NEC in birmingham to see them perform again…can’t wait. I just need to decide what to wear now in case they spot me in the crowd!
No commentsArtists in the making after a shopping trip
We went to Bluewater a few days ago for a shopping trip with James, the girls and Mum.
We all bought some nice things (except Bethany) and had lunch at TGI Fridays which is a treat for us as we don’t have any locally.
They gave the girls some colouring packs to keep them entertained while they waited and they had a colouring compettition which we entered the girls in.
They both received a letter today to say thay they had BOTH won the colouring compettiton and BOTH had a free meal to claim. That means we have to go back to bluewater or london so they can have their free meal….looking forward to it already!
No commentsLunar Eclispe
Well I was out last night taking pics of the lunar eclispe and here’s my best shot :-

The image had to be cropped a fair bit to make the moon a decent size. This introduces some noise and the only way around it is to have a flippin’ huge zoom lens or a telescope!
The pic was taken on a Canon 350D, 300mm at f5/6, 1.3 sec shutter speed.
