Great Yarmouth

We decided to go to Great Yarmouth today. The weather was very nice.

We went straight to the pleasurebeach and Amie went on the snails with her Daddy. She liked them but I think they were a bit boring for Daddy!

We walked along the seafront and had some chips.

We walked a bit further down to Joyland and Amie went on the snails again with daddy. These were a bit quicker and I think they both enjoyed them more.  We wandered round Joyland a bit more and Amie was very reluctant to go on anything else so I took her on the snails.

We then walked up Regent Street and James bought a monopod for his Camera.

We then walked along the seafront, James had a go on various teddy machines to try and win one for Amie and was eventually successful in getting a Tamba for her (the purple dragon from Tikkabila for those who don’t know).

I’ve warned him that the pressure will be on next time as he’ll be expected to win two for his lovely daughters!

Wroxham

Today was James’ first day of his holiday, we decided to go tom Wroxham in the afternoon.  Unfortunately our best efforts to dodge the showers failed and we got very, very, very wet!

We had a nice afternoon though, sat by the river, had a walk, looked in the toyshop and had a wander round Roys.  We came home and had burgers for tea.

Beryl’s Birthday

Today was Beryl’s birthday and we had a fantastic day with her and Richard.

We went for a meal at the George Hotel in Swaffham, the food was very nice and there was a rumour that a local butcher may have provided the Beef! We’ll have to find out if that is true because it was very lovely Beef.

We all had a lovely lunch, Amie and Bethany were very good, encouraged by all the attention they were receiving from fellow diners and seemed to provide the lunchtime entertainment for everyone!

Beryl had some lovely cards and gifts and seemed very pleased by a card that Amie had made for her. It had lots of scribbles and Thomas the Tank Engine stickers on it but she made it all by herself!

We then went back to Beryl and Richard’s to have a drink and a bit of cake which Richard had made and took another one home with us that he had made for us!

Thanks for the cake Richard, it’s fab!

And thank you both for lunch, we had a lovely time and were pleased we could celebrate your birthday with you!

My birthday!!!

It was my birthday today and we all had a lovely day. James had the day off so we thought we’d go somewhere for the day. We debated long and hard about where to go as the weather wasn’t very nice but by the time we were ready to go out it had brightened up so we decided to go to the Zoo.

Amie loved having her daddy there because he’s normally at work when we have days out.If you ask her, her favourite animal was the lion although she means tiger as they had no lions there!

Grandma and Grandad gave them both some money to buy something. Amie spent hers, Bethany’s and some of Daddy’s to buy herself a cuddly tiger)

As for Bethany, she seemed to enjoy herself!

Back to my birthday, i had a fab day and was spoilt rotten! James bought me an ipod, the girls bought me some speakers to go with it. I also had clothes, jewellery, smellies and a handbag!

In the evening, we had a chinese, wine and watched some tv!

Thanks everyone for your pressies, they were very much appreciated!

Poorly James

We were due to go to Snetterton today for the Brittish touring cars. Unfortunately James isn’t too well so we weren’t able to go. He’s had a stiff neck since Thursday which has slowly got worse and he’s now suffering from numbness and pins and needles.

He took a trip to the walk in centre today and they’ve confirmed it’s probably a trapped nerve (sounds painful doesn’t it?)

They’ve instructed him to take ibuprofen morning, lunch and dinnertime along with paracetomol in between. If it isn’t better after 24 hours, it will be a trip to the doctors!

We’ll settle with watching the touring cars on tv!

Standing up

Bethany’s new trick is pulling herself up! She first did it last weekend but was only doing it in her cot.

We had Leah and Ella round today and Bethany must have heard me say she only stands up in her cot and she’s been pulling herself up on everything today, even the stairs….please nobody let her near stairs without stairgates!

She’s growing up very quickly and will soon be running round after Amie.

Speaking of Leah and Ella, we had a lovely day with them. Ella is 6 months now, sitting up and has a gorgeous smile! She loved having her very own entertainment system (Amie) and was giggling at her all afternoon! I think I might hire her out as a babies entertainer and get some money from her!

A day with Grandma

We went to visit Beryl today. We thought we’d make the most of some time with her while I had Mum’s car and a bit more freedom! We had a lovely day, it was nice and warm so the girls played in the garden for a while and we took some photos.

Beryl’s neighbour Karen had leant some toys for Amie to play with so she had great fun with a little teaset pouring water from one cup to the other. She had a lovely time making her and Lucy (her dolly) cups of tea!

We took some photos of Bethany on the same blanket and in the same outfit as Amie when she was about the same age. The photo of Amie is one of Beryl’s favourites and we were quite keen to capture Bethany in a similar position.

Thanks Beryl for a lovely day xx
