Lowestoft Airshow

The girls and I went to the Lowestoft Airshow today with Nanny and Grandad.

We had a lovely day, the girls loved the planes, even Bethany who was found to be giggling at the planes!

Amie loved the red arrows display and liked the pretty smoke and enjoyed telling daddy about her day!

Amie and I even went for a paddle in the VERY cold sea!

We have a crawler!

Well Bethany has finally learnt to crawl! She started moving a couple of paces on Monday but today she managed to crawl from the lounge to the kitchen today!

There will be no rest now she’s started!

A VERY bad week!

Ok, so the week hasn’t gone too well.

Amie has been suffering severely with her chicken pox (and making us suffer too!)

She has suffered in the heat, has been feeling very poorly, has had very itchy and painful spots and has a place reserved for her on the sofa…there’s a dent where she hasn’t moved off it all week!

Today was a better day, the spots are healing and she actually played for a bit today. She refused to have a sleep this afternoon so was very tired this evening but thankfully she appears to be on the mend!

A new me!

Well, almost a new me.

I had my hair coloured last night and I decided to go for a change. The colour I chose is called ginger twist and is a kind of browny red.

It was a bit of a shock when I saw the colour and I think it will take me and everyone else a bit of getting used to.

I’m sure James will take some photos with his new camera and put them on here but I thought I would share Amie’s thoughts on it.

“mummy look at your hair,it’s brown, I love your brown hair better than your yellow hair!”

Now I’m sure my hair wasnt yellow before but I get her meaning!

A little girl who has defied science!

Ok, it’s official!

According to doctors, Amie has had her second bout of chicken pox!

She had it a month ago, passed it on to Bethany 2 weeks later and then caught it again herself 2 weeks after that!

We took her to the walk to the walk in centre today as she had a high temperature since yesterday afternoon, and spots on her scalp which (to me) seemed like chicken pox!

The lady at the walk in centre thought it looked like chicken pox but agreed with me that it couldn’t be so she thought it might have been a viral rash.

She asked us to go to the out of hours GP to be sure before she prescribed antibiotics.

The out of hours GP immediately confirmed it was chicken pox!

Poor little Amie!

New Camera - Canon 350D

Well I’ve finally treated myself to a new camera. My current 3MP Sony one was getting a bit old and not really capable of taking really good quality shots. So I’ve decided to invest in a shiny Canon 350D.

The quality of the pictures I’ve taken so far are nothing short of amazing, as you can see.  More pictures I’ve taken can be viewed in our gallery, using the link on the right-hand side.

A new garden

Our thanks go out to Richard today who came over once again to help us with the garden!

He dug out the back on Wednesday so we can put some new shrubs in there and he and Beryl came over today with lots of lovely shrubs and plants for us to put in.

He put them in the garden for us (in 30 degree heat!) and had lots of “help” from Amie. She helped him dig, water and even arranged where he put the plants!

Thanks again Richard, we really appreciate your help.
