The Norfolk Show

We went to the Norfolk Show today with Mum, Ange, Dylan and Keira.

The weather was lovely and he had a great day.

Amie and Dylan loved seeing all the animals and all the fresh air.

I bought the girls a litte pressie each, Amie got a baking set and Bethany got a jigsaw spelling her name (Amie already has one!)

I also got a posh new handbag which Mum bought me for my birthday (yes I know it’s early!)

A good day was had by all but we missed Katy and the children, they were supposed to come but have all been poorly.

The infected house

Ok, so it’s no surprise but Bethany now has chicken pox!

As with Amie, she seems very well considering. At least they have both got one of the major childhood illnesses out of the way.

Roll on the next one.

Get well soon Bethany

Father’s Day

We had a lovely Father’s Day.

We were due to have a BBQ with Beryl and Richard but unfortunately Beryl was still feeling a bit weak and we didn’t want to chance her being ill with Amie’s chicken pox.

Therefore, we had a BBQ at home with my parents and we invited Julie and Kev over too. They had just got back off their hols so we thought it would be nice for them to come over. We think the real reason they came though was to see if Jack caught Amie’s chicken pox!

Beryl and Richard popped over so that we could give Richard his father’s day pressie. They also had some clothes they bought for the girls and Beryl had knitted Amie a lovely cardigan.

They bought Bethany a lovely pink summer dress and Amie some white cargo trousers and a green top. Both girls seemed very pleased! Thanks for the gifts we really appreciate them!

Kev and Julie also bought the girls a pressie for looking after the house while they were away. Amie got a bag and bracelet which she was really chuffed with and Bethany got an Ibiza t-shirt!

Our clever, clever girl!

Despite spending the week scrathing at her chicken pops (her words not mine!), Amie has decided she’s a big girl and going to use the toilet!

She hasn’t sat on the potty for 3 days!

Well done Amie, keep up the good work.

Poor Little Amie

Oh dear, we had lots planned today with caterpillars followed by a birthday party.

Amie woke up this morning with quite a few spots on her face, they progressively got worse so I took her to the NHS walk in centre and they confirmed there it was chicken pox!

Unfortunately, all our plans went by the wayside much to amie’s dissapointment.

Thankfully she seems fine in herself with a slightly raised temperature.

All eyes will be on Bethany on the look out for spots!

An update

There’s not been much to update just recently.

However Beryl seems to be on the mend. She’s still very weak but is feeling better in herself and is slowly able to do a few things for herself.

We seemed to have cracked potty training Amie. She’s having the odd accident but on the whole she is doing very well. I think we might give her a well done present tomorrow which we bought a while ago for this occasion. I will be glad when I don’t have to lug a potty and extra sets of clothes with us everywhere we go though! Roll on toilet training!

Well done Amie, we’re very proud of you.

We’re very excited about the world cup and are looking forward to England’s first game tomorrow. Let’s hope they have a good win and do the country proud!
