An update on potty training
Potty training is going ahead with a vengeance and Amie is being very good!
We had a few teething problems to get us here and quite a few accidents but she’s done very well the last few days
She’s costing nanny a lot of money as she started giving her pennies when she used it so now she asks her for them all the time. She’s going to bankrupt her soon! I only gave her stickers!
We found a good tactic was bribing her with food….it worked a treat but she’s going to end up getting fat!
Keep up the good work Amie and you’ll get a lovely present at the end of it.
No commentsA visit to Swaffham
We went to visit Beryl and Richard today as we thought they’d like to see the girls after their hard week.
I also offered to cook them Sunday lunch because Beryl is unable to cook and do her housework so Richard is busy taking care of her. Unfortunately, Richard is too kind to let me go over there and cook so he did most of it!
Thank you Richard it was lovely.
I’ll cook next time!
We had a lovely day, the girls were very good and hopefully didn’t wear them out too much!
It was lovely to see Beryl looking a bit better than she did last time we saw her.
No commentsA worrying week
We had a very worrying week when Beryl (James’ Mum) was taken to hospital on Monday.
Thankfully she is ok and came home on Thursday.
We saw her and Richard Friday and she was being very well looked after.
We only stayed for a couple of hours as we didn’t want to wear Beryl out but it was lovely to see her.
No commentsThe Dinosaur Park
We went to the Dinosaur Park with Ange, Dylan and Keira.
It was a lovely day and Amie had a fantastic time running around with Dylan looking for all the dinosaurs.
They had a book they could stamp when they found all the dinosaurs and then at the end they took it to the shop and exchanged it for a small gift.
We had a lovely picnic and Amie and Dyl enjoyed playing on the GIANT slide!
No commentsA very poorly weekend
We were going to the Zoo on Friday to make the most of the nice weather and the fact that we cut our holiday short.
Unfortunately, Bethany and I were still very poorly and were not up to it so we stayed at home.
James and Amie cut the lawn and played football in the garden.
The rest of the weekend was very quiet due to us not being well.
No commentsback home…
We were due to come home on Friday but unfortunately due to lack of sleep (the result of all of us not being in our own beds), we were all very tired and Bethany and I managed to get our colds/coughs back with a vengeance.
So we tidied up the caravan (ready for the next visitors) and came home in time for lunch.
By the afternoon I was feeling very poorly and Bethany had a 3 hour nap! We were all very pleased to get back in our own beds and slept till 9am!
We had a lovely few days away though and thank mum and dad very much for the loan of the caravan.
No commentsBircham Windmill and a visit from Grandma and Grandad
We went to Bircham Windmill this morning and James took Amie right to the very top!
I stayed at the bottom with Bethany and trip so we could wave to Amie and Daddy when they got up there.
Unfortunately, we didn’t stay very long as Bethany was very tired and very upset so when they came down from the windmill, we had a look round the gift shop and headed back to the caravan for lunch.
Beryl and Richard came after lunch to spend the afternoon with us.
They have not seen the girls swim before so we went to the pool and Richard came in with us for a swim and Beryl watched so she was able to take Bethany off me when she had enough of the pool (the evil tiredness again!).
After the swim, we went into the bar for some tea. James had a burger, I had chicken and ribs, Beryl had spaghetti bolognaise and Richard had a chicken and Leek pie. Amie had a bit of everyone’s!
Beryl also made some very lovely cup cakes which she bought with her so we all enjoyed those. She very kindly left them with us so we enjoyed them for a few days later. Thanks Beryl!
No commentsA day at the seaside
Today we travelled to Hunstanton to see the sea. We walked along the sea front and then had chips for lunch (you can’t beat chips by the sea!)
Amie had a fishcake (shock horror) and a few of our chips and enjoyed seeing the sand, seagulls and the sea.
After our chips we travelled back along the coast road and stopped at wells for an ice cream. We bought Amie two dinosaurs from a little gift shop and some new sunglasses as she managed to snap her other one’s in half on the way there and was absolutely devastated. She’s now got some pink Barbie one’s which she loves.
We then went back to the caravan and had some tea. The girls were asleep very early as the sea air wore them out.
No commentsA trip to the North Norfolk coast
We travelled to Mum and Dad’s caravan today to spend a few days away on our own with the girls.
We arrived at lunchtime so we had some Dinner and then after Bethany’s sleep we took them swimming. They both absolutely love it.
Bethany has a seat she sits in which enables us to let go of her in the water and know she’s in no danger. Amie has arm bands and she loves them as they give her the freedom to move her arms and kick her feet so she feels like she’s swimming on her own.
We then went back to the caravan for tea and an early night.
No commentsHands and feet
We went into Norwich with Leah and Ella today as they wanted to buy something from Glaze to Amaze for Bethany’s Christening.
The idea is you can pick a plate or a mug (or various other items) and then you can paint it or print your babies hands or feet on it.
We picked a mug and painted Bethany’s hands and feet on it and then we asked the lady to write her name, christening date and age on it.
We had to leave it for a couple of days for them to glaze it so we can’t wait to see the finished item.
Amie also did one, she put her hand and foot on it and the lady painted her name and date of birth on it.
Leah got a plate made for Ella with her feet on so we can’t wait to see that either.
Thanks to Howard and Leah for their lovely Christening gift
