Christmas Day

It was Amie’s 3rd Christmas and Bethany’s 1st.

It was a very hectic but lovely day. We had both our parents round to celebrate it with us.

Amie is at the age now when she’s starting to get excited. She doesn’t understand Christmas but she likes the presents, lights and sweets !! She enjoyed it more this year as she had Bethany’s pressies to open too !!

The girls were spoilt which was lovely. Their main gifts were:

Amie had a kitchen from us
Their Nanny and Grandad bought them a playhouse for the garden between them although Amie seems to think it’s hers !!
Grandma and Grandad bought Amie a Leappad system which she loves and Bethany a very lovely teddy bear (they did the same for Amie’s first Christmas)

Those were their main pressies but they had lots of clothes, toys and stocking fillers between them.

Will post some photos when we get chance.

A house was erected

My parents have bought Amie and Bethany a play house for Christmas and my Dad came over today to put it together in the garden (he didn’t fancy spending Christmas day doing it !!).

It’s coming along nicely, he had a few teething problems as you do when you’re putting something together which was flat packed but it’s looking lovely and the girls are going to love it.

Just got to keep Amie out of the Conservatory now until Sunday so she can’t see it !!

A Christmas Lunch

Today was the last time we see Dylan, Angela and Keira until the New Year so we decided to go out for dinner as a treat. We went to the Mill House which was interesting !! They’re changing chef’s so the menu was a bit limited. However, despite that, the meals were lovely.

Amie and Dylan were getting a bit fed up so we came back home and we decided they could swap Christmas presents. I know it’s a bit early but they’re going to get so many pressies on the day and will be so overwhelmed, at least they can have a play with these one’s before the big day arrives. Needless to say, all four of them (Amie, Dylans, Keira and Bethany) were spoilt !!

A breakthrough with the bath

James put Amie in the bath again, I could hear her laughing and giggling while she was splashing Daddy and she didn’t want to get out !!

She got her pressie tonight. It was a talking Woody from Toy Story. He went to bed with her !!

A traumatic bath

Unfortunately, in the last month or so Amie appeared to become scared of having a bath.

To ease her stress we decided it was better not to force her into it but just to let her get used to it when she’s ready.

Once this continued past a month we decided it was time to have another go.

James put her in there and she screamed all the way through. We promised her an early Christmas pressie if she was good. She wasn’t good so didn’t get her pressie !!
