My new years resolution….is to be better at blogging!
Ok so I’ve been very slack at writing what we’ve been up to, the year has been a whirlwind with not too much happening at the same time!
I’ll highlight the main points, I turned 30, Dad turned 60, Bethany started nursery, Amie started school (yes really!!!!!), my best mate had her third baby and I seem to have been working my butt off!
I’ve managed to have a much needed week off work this christmas and had a fab time just being with the girls. Sadly james has been poorly through much of it which means that I will probably be ill when I get back to work but we’ve still had a nice time and just made the most of not having anything to do!
I’ll post some christmas pics soon, the girls are soooooo grown up now, some of the conversations I have with Amie makes me forget she’s only 5!
Happy New Year to you all and I’ll speak to you all in 2009!
xx

and now I’ve said that it will probably rain for the next week!
I’ve washed all the girl’s summer clothes and it’s official, those girls have far too many clothes!

We had a lovely day in Cromer today (after we ordered our new dishwasher!). We parked on the green, walked down the front to the chip shop and then sat on the wall and ate fish and chips on the front.
After that we wandered round the amusements and the girls put some 2p’s in the machine, the girls and I went on the teacups and then we walked along the beach while James took photos.
The sea air was lovely and blew away a few cobwebs, we should have put suncream on though!

Dad’s 60th birthday
Today was dad’s 60th birthday!
We celebrated at the Priory Farm restuarant in St Olaves. I haven’t been there for a very long time and it was just as good as i remember!
Dad opened his presents, he had a lovely photo collage off andrew and debbie of his life, it included photos of him with the grandchildren, me and Andrew, my wedding, Mum and Dad’s wedding and his graduation.
Beryl and Richard bought him a photo frame and a clock and Dot and Barry bought him a frame.
The girls gave grandad a helium balloon with his age on and we tied it to his chair.
We all had a very enjoyable lunch which was followed by a birthday cake. The girls helped grandad blow out his candles!
After lunch and drinks we went outside to take a few photos and then headed home. I’ve attached a few photos, take note of Amie’s pretty dress which she conned me into buying!

A new bed
For those of you who don’t know about the saga of Bethany’s new bed I wont bore you with it! All I would say is don’t ever shop at MFI!
However, she has a lovely new cabin bed (eventually!) and loves it. She looks very grown up in it but tiny too but it’s tidied up her bedroom and given her lots and lots of space! The only trouble is, Amie wants one now!
I put it together all by myself on Friday and although it was very hard work and my arms and shoulders are covered in bruises, it was worth it just to see her little face light up when she saw it!

We had a lovely Easter weekend, we spent some time blitzing the house, we had planned to tidy the garden but the weather put paid to that!
Ange and Denis came for a meal Saturday night which was lovely as we don’t get to do that very often, we played in the snow and went to Beryl and Richard’s for lunch Easter Monday which was lovely. Thank you for a very nice meal.

Today the girls woke up this morning to a huge covering of snow!
It’s the first time either of them have seen enough to play in so we got them up and dressed and outside at the crack of dawn. We all had great fun building a snowman and having snowball fights!
Here are some pics…

Happy Mothers Day…
to all the mum’s out there!
I was given a lovely lay in and James woke me up at 9am, when I came down the girls were having their brekkie!
We had a leisurely bath and then got dressed ready to go out for lunch.
We went to the lucky star, not a very traditional sunday lunch but it was gorgeous! Amie has been desperate to go there, she loves chinese and we went with both our parents, my brother Andrew, his girlfriend Debbie and their children Danielle and Callum. Callum wasn’t a fan but he was very good and tried some chicken which he liked! He also enjoyed the chips and prawn crackers!
Debbie also told me that Callum had had a good school report this week and got very good grades including A grades for Maths and Science. It was lovely to hear and I am very proud of him, well done Callum!
Also, Danielle is going to turn 13 on Wednesday - Happy Birthday!

I had my first lot of homework checked this week and I am on the right track!!!!!
I still have a way to go but it’s good to know the 7 hours I took to do it was worth it!
I still wonder if I’m doing the right thing but then I think of all the opportunities once I have it and it keeps me going!

For those who don’t know, Dave is my dad’s baby brother and he turned 40 today…he celebrated by marrying his gorgeous girlfriend in a secret wedding they had planned in Jamaica! It would seem that no-one knew except them!
Congrats to you both we are very, very happy for you!
